CITRUS HEIGHTS POLICE DEPARTMENTa week agoAgencyYesterday, CHPD and CHP joined forces at Lowe's on Greenback Lane for a Blitz Operation targeting organized retail theft (ORT) in our community. This collaborative effort resulted in the arrest of 5 individuals and the recovery of several hundred dollars' worth of stolen merchandise returned to the retailer. Furthermore, our proactive approach prevented one additional theft from occurring. We're grateful for the partnership with CHP and look forward to conducting more operations in the near future to keep Citrus Heights businesses safe. #CommunityPartnership #RetailTheftPrevention #CHPD #CHP #NotOnOurWatch 🛒🚓95Like44

CITRUS HEIGHTS POLICE DEPARTMENT2+ weeks agoAgencyOn Tuesday, March 26th, officers responded to an armed robbery of a convenience store in the 6100 block of Greenback Lane. The suspect fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Using the information gathered at the scene, our grant funded Real Time Information Center (RTIC) operator was able to quickly identify the suspect through our existing cameras and other technological resources. The male suspect was identified as a 40-year-old North Highlands resident who was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for homicide. Clearly this was a dangerous person who needed to be apprehended. Yesterday, our IMPACT detectives tracked down the suspect and he was arrested without further incident. He is being held at the Sacramento main jail and our probation partners placed a “no-bail” PRCS violation while he awaits arraignment for our robbery charge. Another great example of teamwork between our initial responding officers, our RTIC operator, crime detection technology, probation department partners and our dedicated IMPACT team. #NotOnOurWatch88Like26
