Prevent Housing of Sexual Offenders on Grant Drive

As a resident of Northglenn, CO, with a family and children who attend the local schools, I am deeply concerned about the safety of our community. Our neighborhood has always been a place where our children can play freely and we as parents can have peace of mind. However, recent proposals to allow housing for sexual offenders at 11255 and 11275 Grant Drive pose an imminent threat to this peace.Sexual offenders are known to have high recidivism rates. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, 5.6% of released sex offenders were arrested for another sex crime within three years of release from prison in 2016. This statistic alone is alarming enough to warrant serious consideration about where these individuals are housed post-release.Our neighborhood is home to several schools and playgrounds - places where our children spend significant amounts of their time. The potential proximity between these vulnerable groups and sexual offenders is not just unsettling but could also lead to potential harm.We understand that everyone deserves a second chance at life; however, it should not come at the expense or safety risk for others - especially when it involves innocent children who are yet unable to protect themselves fully. Therefore, we urge you not only as residents but also as parents and guardians who care deeply about our community's well-being: Do not allow housing for sexual offenders at 11255 and 11275 Grant Drive in Northglenn, CO.Please stand with us in protecting our community by signing this petition today.

Justice for Bobby Maher: Demand Urgent Anti-Bullying Reforms in Natrona County Schools

As a parent and family member deeply impacted by bullying within the Natrona County School District, I am compelled to raise my voice against this systemic issue in memory of two precious lives lost.My daughter, like many others, faced relentless bullying at school, an experience marked by torment and humiliation, often overlooked by those in authority with little to no action taken against the perpetrators. Tragically, my young 9-year-old cousin also succumbed to the scars left by bullying, leading to his heartbreaking suicide alone inside his school restroom. The recent murder of Bobby Maher, a heroic young man from our community, has further highlighted the dire consequences of unchecked aggression among youths. Bobby's father, mourning the loss of his son, insists that Bobby's death catalyze a movement for lasting change, ensuring his spirit continues to inspire and effect change. Our schools are more than just buildings; they are sanctuaries for our children and should be places where safety and kindness prevail over cruelty and exclusion. Despite existing policies and the visible commitment to infrastructure, our district continues to fall short in protecting its students. The statistics from PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center are a grim testament to the prevalence of this issue, with one out of every five students reporting being bullied. This is not merely a statistic; it's a clear indication that our current systems are insufficient. We urge the Natrona County School District to take decisive action by implementing comprehensive, enforceable anti-bullying policies that genuinely protect all students. This includes:Establishing clear, accessible reporting mechanisms for bullying.Ensuring thorough and transparent investigations of all reported incidents.Holding perpetrators accountable, regardless of their relationships to district staff.Providing ongoing support and resources to victims of bullying.Educating students and staff about bullying and its effects to foster a community of respect and support. In addition to our urgent call for comprehensive anti-bullying policies and decisive action, this petition also demands that the Natrona County School District implement transparent and clear communication protocols. These protocols must ensure that parents or family members on both sides—those of the victim and the perpetrator—are kept fully informed throughout the investigation and resolution of any bullying incident. This level of transparency is crucial not only for building trust between families and the school system but also for ensuring that all parties are aware of the circ*mstances and the measures being taken. It reinforces the district’s commitment to handling these issues with the seriousness they deserve and provides a system of accountability that has been sorely lacking.Effective communication fosters a collaborative approach to solving these problems, ensuring that our schools are safe environments where children can thrive without fear of bullying. Justice for Bobby Maher: Demand Urgent Anti-Bullying Reforms in Natrona County Schools

As a parent and family member deeply impacted by bullying within the Natrona County School District, I am compelled to raise my voice against this systemic issue in memory of two precious lives lost.

My daughter, like many others, faced relentless bullying at school, an experience marked by torment and humiliation, often overlooked by those in authority with little to no action taken against the perpetrators.

This includes:

Establishing clear, accessible reporting mechanisms for bullying.Ensuring thorough and transparent investigations of all reported incidents.Holding perpetrators accountable, regardless of their relationships to district staff.Providing ongoing support and resources to victims of bullying.Educating students and staff about bullying and its effects to foster a community of respect and support.

It reinforces the district’s commitment to handling these issues with the seriousness they deserve and provides a system of accountability that has been sorely lacking.

Effective communication fosters a collaborative approach to solving these problems, ensuring that our schools are safe environments where children can thrive without fear of bullying. Let’s honor Bobby Maher’s memory by creating a school system that prioritizes open communication, stringent anti-bullying measures, and a culture of mutual respect and safety.

Our children deserve to learn in an environment where they feel safe and supported, not threatened and belittled. This petition demands that the Natrona County School District prioritize the safety and well-being of its students above all else.

Please sign this petition to demand robust changes in our schools, honor Bobby Maher’s memory, and ensure that no child has to endure what my daughter, my cousin, and Bobby faced. Let’s stand together to create a safer, kinder future for all our children in the Natrona County School District.

...........................................................

Dear Natrona County School District,

We are writing to you today not just as individuals, but as a united front of concerned parents, educators, and members of the Natrona County community. We come together to address a matter of urgent concern that transcends individual grievances—the pervasive and damaging issue of bullying within our schools. While we understand the necessity of maintaining and enhancing our school facilities and recognize that decisions regarding recent infrastructure investments were made prior to the heartbreaking loss of a young student in our community, we are deeply troubled by the significant oversight regarding the escalating issue of bullying within our schools. This tragedy has starkly highlighted the ongoing crisis, an issue that has been neglected for far too long.

The incidence of bullying has alarmingly not only persisted but escalated to levels that are now causing unprecedented distress among students and parents alike. The severe impact of bullying on the mental health, well-being, and academic achievement of our children cannot be overstated. There have been heart-wrenching instances where the dire consequences of unchecked bullying have led to irrevocable tragedies, including the loss of precious young lives.

The safety and emotional well-being of our children are paramount. The fact that we have lost even one child to the effects of bullying is a somber indicator that the current measures are insufficient and that immediate, more robust action is required. It is with heavy hearts that we observe significant resources allocated to physical improvements, while the critical issue of bullying is seemingly relegated to the background, receiving insufficient attention and action. Our children cannot wait for future infrastructure enhancements while they face immediate threats to their well-being today.

Therefore, we collectively urge the Natrona County School District to implement the following actions with the utmost urgency:

1. The immediate adoption of comprehensive, evidence-based anti-bullying programs proven to be effective in other educational settings.

2. A significant increase in resources dedicated to mental health support, including the employment of trained professionals tasked with providing ongoing support to our students.

3. The creation of a transparent, accessible system for reporting bullying incidents, empowering students and parents to seek help confidently.

4. Regular, open reviews of the prevalence of bullying incidents and the efficacy of implemented measures, with the outcomes shared with the entire community.

5. The establishment of a continuous dialogue involving the school district, parents, students, and the broader community, aimed at collaboratively tackling and monitoring the bullying issue.

We understand the complexity of these challenges and the resources required to address them. Nonetheless, we expect and demand that the Natrona County School District takes immediate, decisive steps to address the bullying crisis with the gravity and urgency it deserves. The well-being of our children is a collective responsibility that we all share and cannot be deferred.

In Solidarity,

The Concerned Parents and Community Members of Natrona County

P.S. This letter is more than a call to action; it is a unified demand for immediate change from a community united in concern and determination. Together, we insist on a future where no child suffers from bullying in silence, and no more lives are tragically lost.

Investigate Racial Bias in Brooklyn's Federal Prosecutions

We call upon Attorney General Merrick Garland to live up to his commitment to ensure the civil rights of all Americans are protected. When General Garland came into office, he took the important step of rescinding restrictions on Justice Department investigations into police department misconduct. In doing so, he made it clear that he won’t accept the racial targeting of people of color in our nation’s police departments. Now, disturbing evidence has emerged pointing towards significant racial bias in his own department - the Eastern District of New York (EDNY). Three white EDNY prosecutors, Jonathan Siegel, Dylan Stern, and Gillian Kassner, have brought charges against black and brown defendants in an alarming 90 percent of their cases since 2019. This rate stands in stark contrast to the racial makeup of the jurisdiction they serve, which includes the diverse borough of Brooklyn. At the center of this troubling pattern is Carlos Watson, the CEO of OZY Media, who faces a potential 37 years in jail. Watson’s case is part of a pattern of racial disparity when it comes to the prosecution of alleged white-collar crimes. It must stop. General Garland must stop it.We encourage you to check out the following:Professor Ron Sullivan's Letter To Merrick GarlandCarlos Watson's StatementBrian Wright O’Connor's "The troubling case of Carlos Watson: ‘Too Black for Business’"This unequal application of justice serves to undermine the very foundation of our democracy and perpetuates racial disparities that have persisted for far too long.By this petition, we urgently call for:A Comprehensive Review: An immediate, thorough, and transparent investigation into the prosecutorial practices of Jonathan Siegel, Dylan Stern, and Gillian Kassner.Re-evaluation of Cases: A credible review of cases overseen by these prosecutors, past convictions, and future charging decisions to ensure fairness and justice.Long-Term Measures: The implementation of mechanisms to prevent racial bias and ensure equitable treatment within the prosecutorial system. The selective prosecution of entrepreneurs of color destroys the communities they serve. Cancel Leland Town Hall Expansion

The Town of Leland has embarked upon an expansion of the ten-year-old Town Hall. Town Hall was built at a cost of $10 million. Leland taxpayers are still paying those construction costs.Purportedly, this new expansion will add 60 offices, flexible office and meeting spaces, and enhanced evidence processing areas. Town of Leland has received 100% of construction drawings at a cost to taxpayers of $652,500. Town of Leland is now advertising for bids.Documentation suggests that Town of Leland has taken a $20 million loan to finance construction costs. Budget documents reflect that the debt service on this loan was $1.6 million in fiscal year 23-24 and will be $2.7 million in fiscal year 24-25.This extravagant and unnecessary expansion of Town Hall in the face of severe tax increases is unconscionable. The Town of Leland received a roughly 30% tax increase last year through property revaluation. Currently, Town of Leland is seeking a 17% tax increase for this year. That represents a roughly 50% tax increase in two years!Numerous Leland citizens have testified before the Council of the hardships the current taxes are placing on them. Many are faced with the possibility of losing their homes. Others have taken second jobs to pay their taxes. On December 14, news was made that Coney Island will close and be sold to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. They have plans to build yet another music venue in the area next to the two venues at Riverbend. The plans currently are to fill in the pool with cement. Built in 1925, "Sunlite Pool was and still is an engineering marvel. Measuring an incredible 200 by 401 feet, it remains the largest recirculating swimming pool in the world, holding over 3 million gallons of water at depths ranging from six inches to 10 feet. Up to 10,000 swimmers could be accommodated at a time.”We must ask the Anderson Township Board of Trustees/local representatives/Ohio Senators/Ohio Governor to make this a historical landmark. We cannot lose our history in this area. Coney Island Park was a place that inspired many, including Walt Disney.“In 1953, Walt and his brother Roy visited amusem*nt parks around the country to gather ideas for this family park, often seeing what not to do. One park that got it right was Cincinnati's own Coney Island. Coney's owner Edward Schott and Ralph Wachs entertained the Disneys at the Caprice, a VIP club above Moonlite Gardens, and aboard the family boat on the Ohio River, according to "Cincinnati's Coney Island" by Charles J. Jacques Jr.Walt was impressed by Coney's renowned cleanliness and manicured landscaping, traits he would emulate in Disneyland. He was also captivated by photographs of the Island Queen steamboat that had burned in 1947.Schott then visited Anaheim as one of Disney's "dollar a year" vice presidents to advise on park matters such as facilitating lines, ride capacity, cleanup and maintenance. The Schott family also was invited to Disneyland's opening day. Despite some hiccups, from overcrowding to still-wet asphalt and no water fountains that caused newspapers to declare the project a nightmare, Disneyland attracted 1 million visitors within the first 90 days.”We know the rides are long gone. This once upon a time amusem*nt park was the precursor to Kings Island. And it was very successful except for the floods due to the park being built directly on the Ohio River."Established in the late nineteenth century on the banks of the Ohio River, Coney Island offered families a place to go for picnicking, dancing, refreshments and fireworks. ""In 1870, James Parker began renting out his apple orchard for Cincinnatians to ride horses and have picnics. When his apple trees died, Parker added a merry-go-round and pavilion and planted maple trees. In 1886 Parker sold the land to the Ohio Grove Corporation, which billed the site as "Ohio Grove: The Coney Island of the West," and immediately began attracting visitors from Cincinnati. In 1887 they changed the name to Coney Island. As the popularity of the park grew, other attractions, such as a Ferris wheel, the area's first movie theater, and roller coasters, were built. By the end of the 1920s, Coney Island was one of the largest amusem*nt parks in the country. The park closed in 1971, but reopened on a smaller scale in 1999. It is located approximately fifteen miles east of downtown Cincinnati."Also popular and beloved by many, the Moonlight Gardens still stands on Coney Island park land but it is in heavy disrepair. This would be worth saving as well but at time of writing, it is not known about its future. One might say why this theme park? Theme parks close and open as time changes. Coney Island Park in Cincinnati allows us to relive the time of the 1920s and prior when the Sunlite Pool and Moonlight Gardens were open. And dream that you had been around when the Shooting Star existed because everyone who spoke of it said it was amazing. It was already a renovated and kept up historical site for years, just not legally a historically registered site. We have to hold our breadth of history close to us for our generations to come. Sunlite Pool is not dissimilar from european bathhouses, its just setup like a mini waterpark instead of a spa. We should not rid our state and nation of this modern marvel pool that has seen the test of time with it almost reaching it's 100th year. Please join me in signing this petition to save Sunlite Pool at Coney Island Park in Cincinnati, OH and declare it a historical landmark. Heard of MkUltra from the 70s? Well the program was never cancelled and has been secretly running to this very day. MkUltra is the torturous mind control program that the secret service and CIA runs in America on innocent civilians for UNDESIRABLE reasons. Opposition to Proposed Development in the Wellington Equestrian Preserve

The Wellington Equestrian Preserve is a unique feature of the Village of Wellington. Recognized as a core component of Wellington’s comprehensive land use plan, the Equestrian Preserve consists of 9,000 acres of open green space, bridle paths, show grounds, and low-density housing, all dedicated to foster a pastoral equestrian-oriented community. Currently, there are two proposed amendments to the Wellington Master Plan (2022-0002-CPA and 2022-0002-CPA) that are scheduled for review and consideration by the Village Council and other municipal committees. These amendments, if passed, would allow for substantial residential and commercial development in the Equestrian Preserve that is antithetical to the Village’s long-standing land use plan, opposed by the overwhelming majority of its residents, and would destroy the distinctive character and beauty of the community. We, the undersigned, are opposed to the proposed changes to the Wellington Equestrian Preserve and respectfully urge the Wellington Village Council and other municipal committees to vote “NO” to each and every part of the following proposed land use amendments:Wellington North (the “Lagoon” at Equestrian Village)Comprehensive Plan Amendment 2022-0002-CPAMaster Plan Amendment 2022-0004-MPAandWellington South (the “Estates” at Equestrian Village)Comprehensive Plan Amendment 2022-0003-CPAMaster Plan Amendment 2022-0005-MPA.

STOP Ukrainian Nuclear Disaster; UN must establish DMZ at Zaporizhzhia Plant Now

UKRESPPOLFRERUSGERITALPORTARAPERSThis petition is brought to you by Zaporizhzhia Task Force. This task force was created in meeting organized by the Ukraine Socialist Solidarity Campaign to raise an alarm about the dangers developing at the Russian controlled Zaporizhzhia plant. Various individuals attended, forming a working group to create and distribute this petition.--Ukraine is warning that Russia has planted mines in the cooling pools of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)also warns that as a result of Russia destroying the Nova Kakhovka dam, the nuclear plant has about two months of water for those cooling pools. We are especially alarmed at recent reports that Russia has started removing staff and soldiers from the plant. A loss of water in the cooling pools - whether due to Russia's criminal neglect or to intentional sabotage - could result in the spent fuel rods burning. If that happens, depending on the number of spent fuel rods and how densely packed they are, the release and spread of radiation could be worse than the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986.We must act now to stop this potential nuclear disaster which could take place at any time.António Guterres, General Secretary of the United Nations must speak up on this issue immediately. We call on the United Nations General Assembly to establish a demilitarized zone around the plant immediately, as they did in 1956 to halt the conflict in the Suez Canal. We urge individuals and organizations to organize public protests to bring attention to this crisis and demand that the United Nations General Assembly act now to prevent a catastrophe.

Save the Humanities at Valparaiso University

On March 1, 2024, the leadership of Valparaiso University announced that nearly 30 undergraduate major, minor and certificate programs, staffed by faculty in over 15 disciplines, had been placed under review for discontinuance. This announcement was made after VU leadership consulted with the rpkGroup, notorious for its role in the gutting of universities across the United States. Most of the proposed cuts are in humanities disciplines, including several that are absolutely essential to VU’s status as a university and to its Lutheran identity, such as Theology, Philosophy, Music, and languages including German. Faculty in discontinued programs will be stripped of tenure and given a non-renewable contract for AY 2024-25, after which they will either be terminated or offered one-year contracts as needed to teach-out students in these programs, or to serve Gen Ed teaching needs. It is far from clear that the proposed course of action is consistent with existing University policies or AAUP guidelines regarding the demonstration of financial exigency and revocation of tenure. What is clear is that this constitutes a departure from VU’s mission and its longstanding sense of institutional identity as “a community of learning dedicated to excellence and grounded in the Lutheran tradition of scholarship, freedom, and faith.”Philip Melanchthon was Martin Luther’s “right-hand man,” and the first systematic theologian of the Reformation. He was also a devoted student of the humanities, and, given his key role in reforming universities after the Reformation, is rightly considered “the founding father of Lutheran higher education.” In his “Preface to Homer,” Melanchthon wrote:"I consider in my mind these admirable gifts of God, namely the study of literature and of the humanities – and apart from the gospel of Christ this world holds nothing more splendid nor more divine...."[1]Melanchthon understood that humanistic study is “most conducive” to “arousing one to virtue and for forming the mind,” and hence that it is the the mechanism “by which that part of us that alone deserves the name ‘human,’ that is made in the image of God and for the possession of true and everlasting happiness, was meant to be refined and roused.” “Without this noble teaching,” he said, no one is sufficiently suitable for managing the other arts or for performing great things.”In the middle decades of the 20th century, President O.P. Kretzmann cast a vision for VU consistent with Melanchthon’s vision for higher education. VU was to be a place where “Athens and Jerusalem” could meet, holding fast to eternal truths about God and humanity, while finding innovative ways of applying them in a changing world. It is this vision to which VU has aspired ever since, shaping its ethos and its graduates. For most of the ensuing half-century, VU pursued this ideal with great success. But over the last fifteen years or so, a number of factors have driven the institution ever farther from Melanchthon’s vision for humanistic education, and from Kretzmann’s vision for VU. The proposed discontinuances – which include the primary disciplinary avatars of “Athens” (Philosophy) and “Jerusalem” (Theology) – demonstrate that the current leadership has completely lost sight of this vision. The challenges faced by VU are not unique. They are pervasive in higher education today. But none of VU’s peer institutions are taking such drastic measures, and other universities – such as Purdue, Arizona State, and the University of Washington – are finding creative solutions that have strengthened the humanities while also strengthening enrollments. Given VU’s Lutheran identity, its history, and its heritage, it ought to try to do the same. Final decisions about program discontinuances will be made after April 30, 2024, so now is the time to voice opposition. We, the undersigned, call on VU’s President, Jose Padilla, its Provost, Eric Johnson, and its Board of Directors,to recommit to the vision that previously made VU one of the top regional universities in the Midwest,to halt their plan to discontinue programs and strip faculty of tenure, andto work collaboratively with the faculty to address VU’s financial challenges.***Signatories may also wish to send an email in support of threatened programs to the following members of VU’s board and upper administration: E-Mail list: Jose.Padilla@valpo.edu, Eric.Johnson@valpo.edu, lua.board@valpo.eduAdministrators: President Jose Padilla, Provost Eric Johnson.Board Members: David A. I blew the whistle on LifeLine Animal Project in Fulton County GeorgiaThey are a corrupt company taking advantage of employees along with taxpayer of Fulton and surrounding areas. Lifeline tells the Animal Services officers not to pick up animals unless they are sick, injured and or aggressive. Meaning no matter what, the animal stays on the street till all this happens. Animal abuse and neglect inside of the brand new building, animals are forced to stay without food or water and without medical treatment when they are injured. Staff don’t clean properly. They use horse shampoo which doesn’t clean the bacteria in the building resulting in illness.ALL of this needs to come to an end & #LifeLine needs to be removed. FULTON COUNTY GEORGIA officials need to open the RFP for a new animal service contractor. This is time-sensitive. Prosecute Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer of Cypress Arrow for animal cruelty

January 26, 2024TO: District Attorney Phillip Terrell and Assistant District Attorney June FosterAnimal Advocates in Louisiana have been trying to improve the welfare of animals for many years. We focus on everything from educating and encouraging owners to spay/neuter their animals to protecting innocent animals from abuse and neglect. We are slowly but consistently making progress. The public has learned that Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer of Cypress Arrow K9 Training Academy have not been charged and held accountable for aggravated animal cruelty, and the public is in an outrage for justice to be served on the behalf of1) The abused and neglected dogs2) The animal owners of these dogs3) The community4) The stateAs you know, there is video evidence of a dog being beaten with an agitation stick, a dog being grabbed by the throat and repeatedly thrown to the ground, and evidence of animals being neglected while in their care. We are also aware that Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer advised multiple clients to purchase wiffle ball bats to beat their dogs in the face. These are just the incidents we know about.Based on these videos, Ms. Frey and Ms. Brimer have broken the following laws as defined by Louisiana Statute R.S. 14:102.1.§102.1. Cruelty to animals; simple and aggravatedA.(1) Any person who intentionally or with criminal negligence commits any of the following shall be guilty of simple cruelty to animals:b) Torments, cruelly beats, or unjustifiably injures any living animal, whether belonging to himself or another.(c) Having charge, custody, or possession of any animal, either as owner or otherwise, unjustifiably fails to provide it with proper food, proper drink, proper shelter, or proper veterinary care.(h) Injures any animal belonging to another person.(i) Mistreats any living animal by any act or omission whereby unnecessary or unjustifiable physical pain, suffering or death is caused to or permitted upon the animal. These laws were broken by Ms. Frey and Ms. Brimer by:1) beating a Cane Corso named Fenixx. They put a prong collar on him as well as a choke lead which were both in the wrong positions on the dog. The way that Ms. Frey and Ms. Brimer are pulling in opposite directions is referred to as “yoking” which is NOT a training method. The “agitation stick/crop” is designed to be used when training police dogs. The purpose of the agitation stick is to create noise as a distraction while training a dog for bite work. Its purpose is not for BEATING an animal. These videos were examined by Kevin Cameron, who is a professional dog trainer. He trained dogs in the Army and as a civilian. After watching Cypress Arrow’s “training videos”, Mr. Kevin Cameron was clear when he stated “this is not dog training, it is clearly aggravated animal abuse.”2) grabbing a Chocolate Lab named Yassie by the throat and then repeatedly throwing him to the ground to teach it the “down” command. If you listen closely to the video, you will also hear they used this same technique on another dog thus proving this is a method they consistently use with the dogs they so call “train.”3) advising multiple clients to purchase a wiffle ball bat and hit their dogs in the face with it if they acted out.4) neglecting at least one dog in their care. They didn’t feed this dog properly. Instead they withheld the dog’s food weeks or months until the dog became “emaciated” for their “training purposes and goals.” Emaciation results in undeniable physical pain, suffering or death. Animal advocates have concluded Cypress Arrow’s practice of starving dogs was to break their spirit and to make the dog weaker. It is safe to assume this wasn’t the first time starving a dog was part of their “training” regimen. Therefore, Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer should be held accountable using the punishments stated in the Louisiana Statute RS 14:102.1.(2)(a) Whoever commits the crime of simple cruelty to animals shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars, or imprisoned for not more than six months, or both. In addition, the court may order the offender to pay for any expenses incurred for the housing of the animal and for medical treatment of the animal, pursuant to Code of Criminal Procedure Article 883.2.(b) Whoever commits a second or subsequent offense of simple cruelty to animals shall be fined not less than five thousand dollars nor more than twenty-five thousand dollars or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not less than one year nor more than ten years, or both. In addition, the court shall issue an order prohibiting the defendant from owning or keeping animals for a period of time deemed appropriate by the court.(c) In addition to any other penalty imposed, a person who commits the crime of cruelty to animals shall be ordered to perform five eight-hour days of court-approved community service. Prosecute Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer of Cypress Arrow for animal cruelty

January 26, 2024

TO: District Attorney Phillip Terrell and Assistant District Attorney June Foster

Animal Advocates in Louisiana have been trying to improve the welfare of animals for many years. We focus on everything from educating and encouraging owners to spay/neuter their animals to protecting innocent animals from abuse and neglect. We are slowly but consistently making progress.

The public has learned that Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer of Cypress Arrow K9 Training Academy have not been charged and held accountable for aggravated animal cruelty, and the public is in an outrage for justice to be served on the behalf of

1) The abused and neglected dogs

2) The animal owners of these dogs

3) The community

4) The state

As you know, there is video evidence of a dog being beaten with an agitation stick, a dog being grabbed by the throat and repeatedly thrown to the ground, and evidence of animals being neglected while in their care. We are also aware that Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer advised multiple clients to purchase wiffle ball bats to beat their dogs in the face. These are just the incidents we know about.

Based on these videos, Ms. Frey and Ms. Brimer have broken the following laws as defined by Louisiana Statute R.S. 14:102.1.

§102.1. Cruelty to animals; simple and aggravated

A.(1) Any person who intentionally or with criminal negligence commits any of the following shall be guilty of simple cruelty to animals:

b) Torments, cruelly beats, or unjustifiably injures any living animal, whether belonging to himself or another.

(c) Having charge, custody, or possession of any animal, either as owner or otherwise, unjustifiably fails to provide it with proper food, proper drink, proper shelter, or proper veterinary care.

(h) Injures any animal belonging to another person.

(i) Mistreats any living animal by any act or omission whereby unnecessary or unjustifiable physical pain, suffering or death is caused to or permitted upon the animal.

These laws were broken by Ms. Frey and Ms. Brimer by:

1) beating a Cane Corso named Fenixx. Kevin Cameron was clear when he stated “this is not dog training, it is clearly aggravated animal abuse.”

2) grabbing a Chocolate Lab named Yassie by the throat and then repeatedly throwing him to the ground to teach it the “down” command. If you listen closely to the video, you will also hear they used this same technique on another dog thus proving this is a method they consistently use with the dogs they so call “train.”

3) advising multiple clients to purchase a wiffle ball bat and hit their dogs in the face with it if they acted out.

4) neglecting at least one dog in their care.

Therefore, Tina Frey and Victoria Brimer should be held accountable using the punishments stated in the Louisiana Statute RS 14:102.1.

(2)(a) Whoever commits the crime of simple cruelty to animals shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars, or imprisoned for not more than six months, or both. In addition, the court may order the offender to pay for any expenses incurred for the housing of the animal and for medical treatment of the animal, pursuant to Code of Criminal Procedure Article 883.2.

(b) Whoever commits a second or subsequent offense of simple cruelty to animals shall be fined not less than five thousand dollars nor more than twenty-five thousand dollars or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not less than one year nor more than ten years, or both. In addition, the court shall issue an order prohibiting the defendant from owning or keeping animals for a period of time deemed appropriate by the court.

(c) In addition to any other penalty imposed, a person who commits the crime of cruelty to animals shall be ordered to perform five eight-hour days of court-approved community service. The community service requirement shall not be suspended.

(d) In addition to any other penalty imposed, the court may order a psychological evaluation or anger management treatment for a first conviction of the crime of simple cruelty to animals. For a second or subsequent offense of the crime of simple cruelty to an animal, the court shall order a psychological evaluation or anger management treatment. Any costs associated with any evaluation or treatment ordered by the court shall be borne by the defendant.

(3) For purposes of this Subsection, if more than one animal is subject to an act of cruel treatment by an offender, each act shall constitute a separate offense.

With the knowledge we have, we are shocked that Ms. Frey and Ms. Brimer are planning to broadcast Cypress Arrow YouTube training videos. They have announced that they are training and breeding dogs again, as well as offering veterinarian services.

Ms. Frey is advertising the following vet services:

1) Microchipping

2) Heartguard deworming

3) Annual vaccines

4) Puppy parvo vaccines

5) Stitch removal

6) Puppy tail docking

7) Heartworm treatment

8) Fecals

9) Much more

We have searched the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine database, and we are unable to locate any data indicating that Ms. Frey has a veterinarian license.

Per the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine’s website:

Practicing veterinary medicine in the state of Louisiana without a current, active license is a direct violation of the LA Veterinary Practice Act and is a serious offense for which the Board can take action.

There are many who have filed reports to the Board informing them of Tina Frey practicing veterinary medicine without a license.

Protection of Bald Eagles M15, F23 and Eaglets

We are looking to change the speed limit on Bayshore Road from I-75 to New Post Road as well as having signs installed that will alert drivers to be aware of low flying Eagles in an attempt to protect our beloved Bald Eagles. As a ground photographer that visits that nest regularly, I have witnessed drivers speeding at more than the current limit and also have seen the Eagles come very close to getting hit by cars and trucks while they have been swooping down into the road for roadkill. Please help us to protect our beautiful Eagle Family.

Delay Idaho Murder Scene Demolition Until After Investigative/Prosecutorial Efforts

This petition is to respectfully request reconsideration by the University of Idaho of the timing of demolishing the residence at 1122 King Road in Moscow, Idaho. To destroy the location of a brutal murder scene of four U of I students before the investigative and prosecutorial efforts are complete seems both short sided and premature. The four students killed (picture from CNN News) and two of their siblings paid tuition to attend U of I. It seems immensely disrespectful to go forward with the demolition of the crime scene at this time. If polled, your students and the victims’ families would most likely want you to wait until justice for Ethan, Xana, Madison and Kaylee has at least been attempted. To go forth with the demolition right now makes the University of Idaho seem oblivious to decency and obtrusive to the judicial process. While it is appreciated that a memorial garden is planned to show hope and healing, please wait until there is no possible evidentiary value.Thank you.

Oppose the Renaming of the ALC and Teaching Theater at SHSU-COM

To whom it may concern,We, the undersigned student doctors of SHSU-COM, strongly oppose the renaming of physical locations at the SHSU-COM campus to honor any congressmen or congresswomen. While we recognize the contributions of elected officials, such as promoting the bill that allowed our school to receive state funding, we do not agree with other bills that they have authored, voted in favor of, or signed into place. We have concerns that naming public spaces after politicians will lead to politicization of our campus and will not accurately represent the diverse communities that utilize said spaces.Should they be renamed at some point, the Teaching Theater and ALC should be named after individuals who encompass the beliefs and spirit of the school. As an osteopathic medical school, we strive to learn and heal. The policies supported by the aforementioned congressmen time and time again have demonstrated their opposition to our school mission.A selection of pertinent bills demonstrating Senator Creighton’s opposition to the school mission is as follows:Sponsor and Voted YES to HB89: Prohibits Specific State Contracts or Investments to be made with Certain Companies that Boycott IsraelSponsor and Voted YES to SB17: Repeals Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Trainings and Initiatives at State UniversitiesSponsor and Voted YES to HB3979: Prohibits the Teaching of “Critical Race Theory” in SchoolsVoted NO to HB950: Requires Equal Pay for WomenVoted YES to HB1280: Prohibits Abortion if Roe v Wade is Overturned by the Supreme CourtVoted NO to HB2962: Children’s Health CareVoted NO to HB109: Child Health Care ExpansionVoted YES to SB1311: Prohibits Certain Treatments for Transgender ChildrenA selection of pertinent bills demonstrating Representative Metcalf’s opposition to the school mission is as follows:Co-Sponsor and Voted YES to HB793: Prohibits Specific State Contracts with Certain Companies that Boycott IsraelVoted YES to SB17: Repeals Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Trainings and Initiatives at State UniversitiesSponsor and Voted YES to HB3979: Prohibits the Teaching of “Critical Race Theory” in SchoolsCo-Sponsor and Voted YES to HB1280: Prohibits Abortion if Roe v Wade is Overturned by the Supreme CourtVoted NO to HB3285: Establishes Services for Substance Use DisordersMany students can attest to being directly impacted by the aforementioned actions, which have contributed to the death of loved ones overseas, taken away personal healthcare rights, and discounted the voices and rights of many groups represented at this school. We cannot imagine entering rooms named after men who support policies. These rooms were built for the benefit of medical students and faculty that spend countless hours here daily, with the intention of promoting focus towards academic progress. In the scenario that certain spaces are renamed after the above congressmen, we believe that the intended goal of these spaces would be compromised.Instead of naming public spaces after politicians whose views do not align with the entirety of the SHSU-COM student body, we are advocating for an alternate way of appreciating efforts made, and keeping all current lecture hall names to maintain the neutral environment of campus. We urge the decision-makers to reconsider any proposals to rename physical locations after these congressmen. The students at SHSU-COM undoubtedly are grateful for the contributions and the efforts of everyone that has been involved with the arduous mission of promoting funding and expansion of SHSU-COM. Naming the Teaching Theatre and the Active Learning Classroom after only two people that have had small involvement diminishes the collaboration and efforts of the multitudes of people since the creation of this school that have received far less attention.Furthermore, any discussions regarding changes to SHSU-COM campus should require student and faculty insight and dialogue in the future, as they will be impacted the most with said changes. Continuing to neglect the opinions of the students that are actively supporting the success of SHSU-COM through choosing this school for their career education and in paying tuition, and faculty that have chosen this as their place of work, will only perpetuate feelings of disrespect.

In 2020, Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) designated Alki Point a “Keep Moving Street.” Vehicle traffic was limited to local access only. Street Closed signs effectively kept most of the public away, creating a semi-private park for nearby residents. In 2022, with strong encouragement from local homeowners, the closure became permanent, and Alki Point became a “Healthy Street.” As part of its final design, SDOT plans to remove 62 parking spaces from the west side of Beach Drive—a drastic change. Urge U.S. Congress to Pass Key Bills for Improved Foster Care Services and Housing

I am writing this petition out of a deep concern for the children in our foster care system who are suffering due to inadequate services and housing. Every year, 20,000 children go missing from foster care, with 60% of all trafficked kids originating from these systems. This is largely due to a severe housing shortage that forces children into unstable living conditions such as hotel rooms, tents, offices, former jails and mini-marts. The constant moving around leads to them getting lost in the system.Children in these situations are not only deprived of education but also essential mental and medical services. Worse still, they are at an extremely high risk of being trafficked into the sex industry. The housing crisis has also led to an increase in cases where children are kept with unsafe parents or abusive foster parents - leading to a rise in deaths, abuse and neglect. We urge our Representatives & Senators to pass three critical bills that can alleviate this crisis:1) S3393 Support Act which will provide mental & medical services for foster children.2) HR 3852 CARE for Children Act which will fund cottage group homes.3) HR 2426 Find and Protect Foster Youth Act aimed at finding and retrieving missing foster children. These bills represent hope for hundreds of thousands of vulnerable kids stuck in an unforgiving cycle of neglect and abuse. By signing this petition you're advocating for their right to safety, health services, stable housing and ultimately - their future. Please sign this petition today; let's urge Congress together towards creating safer environments for our nation's most vulnerable youth.

A Legislation against Parental Alienating Behaviours, it's Child Abuse & Family Violence

We estimate that at least 1 million Australian children are currently alienated from a parent because of parental alienating behaviours. Your signature on this petition is a signature for the future of all children who may become a victim of parental separation or divorce. We are calling for a legislative change.Parental alienating behaviours are a parent’s persistent attempts to damage their child’s relationship with the child’s other parent.Parental alienation is not a gendered issue. It can happen to males, females, and those who are gender diverse.Nearly 40% of the Parental Alienation literature has been published since 2016. Parental Alienation literature has produced a scientifically trustworthy knowledge base.Click here to read the latest peer reviewed articleParental Alienating BehavioursParental alienating behaviours include, but are not limited to, preventing the child from seeing their other parent, denigrating the other parent in front of the child and/or directly to the child, and making false allegations of abuse against the other parent. It is estimated that false allegations of abuse account for 79% of cases during family court proceedings. False allegations of abuse are acts of aggression with aim of permanently severing the parent-child relationship.Parental alienating behaviours are family violence and a serious form of child abuse. Alienating parents use emotional manipulation, verbal abuse, physical violence and financial abuse to maintain control over their children and the other parent. Alienating parents use coercive control to create a false world of confusion, fear and contradiction for the child and other parent. Over time, coercively controlling behaviour erodes the child’s and other parent’s sense of self and confidence.Click here to learn more about parental alienating behavioursImpact of Parental Alienating BehavioursChildren and parents who are subjected to these abusive behaviours experience the same trauma reactions as those who have suffered other forms of abuse. Some of the psychological issues for both children and adults are symptoms consistent with complex post-traumatic stress reactions, substance use problems, self-harm behaviours, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and suicidality.Impact on the Alienated ChildrenWe are now starting to understand the devastating effect that being exposed to parental alienation can have on vulnerable young children as they grow into adulthood. Adults alienated as children are more likely to fall into similar abusive relationships and be alienated from their own children. They are at greater risk for diagnosed mental health disorders such as post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, substance use, and are more likely to contemplate suicide compared to adults who have not experienced parental alienation.

We are calling for a legislative change.

Parental alienating behaviours are a parent’s persistent attempts to damage their child’s relationship with the child’s other parent.Parental alienation is not a gendered issue. It can happen to males, females, and those who are gender diverse.

Nearly 40% of the Parental Alienation literature has been published since 2016. Parental Alienation literature has produced a scientifically trustworthy knowledge base.

Parental Alienating Behaviours

Parental alienating behaviours include, but are not limited to, preventing the child from seeing their other parent, denigrating the other parent in front of the child and/or directly to the child, and making false allegations of abuse against the other parent. It is estimated that false allegations of abuse account for 79% of cases during family court proceedings. False allegations of abuse are acts of aggression with aim of permanently severing the parent-child relationship.

Parental alienating behaviours are family violence and a serious form of child abuse. Alienating parents use emotional manipulation, verbal abuse, physical violence and financial abuse to maintain control over their children and the other parent. Alienating parents use coercive control to create a false world of confusion, fear and contradiction for the child and other parent. Over time, coercively controlling behaviour erodes the child’s and other parent’s sense of self and confidence.

Impact of Parental Alienating Behaviours

Children and parents who are subjected to these abusive behaviours experience the same trauma reactions as those who have suffered other forms of abuse. Some of the psychological issues for both children and adults are symptoms consistent with complex post-traumatic stress reactions, substance use problems, self-harm behaviours, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and suicidality.

Impact on the Alienated Children

We are now starting to understand the devastating effect that being exposed to parental alienation can have on vulnerable young children as they grow into adulthood. The stories are undeniably devastating for these alienated adult children, and they have a similar theme: Why didn’t anyone help me as a child? What will it take for society to realise how damaging parental alienation is? Why is this happening to me again?

The process of unravelling the damage is delicate and slow, with many alienated adult children experiencing grief about the childhood they lost and confusion or anger about the fact that it was taken away by the alienating parent so easily in some cases.

Demand the Recall of Betty Rzewnicki, SPB Commissioner District 3

I am a concerned citizen deeply affected by the actions of our current commissioner, Betty Rzewnicki, who has been limiting public comment and due process entitlement. This is not just an affront to me, but to all those who believe in democratic principles and open dialogue. Commissioner Rzewnicki's actions have created a barrier between the administration and its constituents, stifling our voices when they should be heard most during this critical point for the future of our city. Her blatant disregard is evident in her lack of meetings with residents, her vocal disdain and disrespect to those who speak out themselves or are representing a group and most recently, her limiting and cutting off residents comments while allowing all other parties unlimited time without any restraints. Her actions are an attempt to violate residents 1st amendment right to free speech. The right to public comment is enshrined in many democratic societies worldwide as it allows citizens to express their views on matters that directly affect them. According to a study by Harvard Law School, public participation in decision-making processes leads to more effective policies (Harvard Law School, 2018). By limiting this right, our commissioner is undermining these benefits. Moreover, due process is a fundamental principle that guarantees fairness in legal proceedings. It ensures that every individual receives equal treatment under the law. The American Bar Association states that "due process balances the power of law of the land and protects individuals from it" (American Bar Association). Therefore, we must demand accountability from those entrusted with power over us. We call for an immediate recall of this commissioner whose actions are damaging not only our trust but also our rights as citizens. Please sign this petition if you believe in preserving democracy and ensuring fair representation for all citizens.

Milton Winery Needs Your Help

In 2020 my wife and I dreamed up the concept of turning our large tract acreage in Milton Georgia into a Georgia Farm Winery. Almost three years later after getting unanimous approval by the City in 2021, we are still waiting to open. Hurdles that remain are centered on some neighbors safety concerns as it relates to traffic, noise and drunk driving. While the initial city approval restricted on-site visits to no more than 10 people at a time all needing prescheduled appointments, the neighbors still have concerns. Hearing those concerns and trying to be good neighbors we recently voluntarily decided to eliminate the public tasting room in its entirety. Although it significantly limits our distribution opportunities, we will now rely on sales through restaurants, festivals, packaged sales and an online wine club until we can one day open a tasting room in a commercially zoned location.Eager to open and willing to work harder with these alternative distribution channels, we accept that challenge and need your help to convince those still in doubt that we should not be denied the opportunity to realize our dream of opening a winery since the safety concerns have been eliminated. Please help us by signing this petition and showing the community that our winery is a safe additive addition to the City of Milton.

Standardize Macomb Township's Noise Control Ordinance with Neighboring Areas

As a resident of Macomb Township, I am deeply concerned by the intent of the original sound/noise control ordinance draft, especially in relation to religious institutions. This is not just my personal struggle; many of our residents who work from home, struggle with autism, work night shifts, and suffer from PTSD are also impacted by this issue. The noise levels and frequency of announcements can be disruptive to our daily lives and overall wellbeing. Our neighboring townships and villages such as Sterling Heights, Rochester, Shelby Township, Washington, Romeo, Utica, Clinton Township, New Haven, and New Baltimore have adopted effective sound/noise control ordinances that take into account the needs of all their residents. We are simply requesting that our township aligns its sound/noise control ordinance with those already successfully implemented in our neighboring areas. This would be a significant step towards creating a more peaceful environment for all. Please join us in urging the local authorities to revise Macomb’s sound/noise control ordinance draft accordingly. NDoF FRC Einstein Petition

The level of visual and audio effects during Einstein at the FRC World Championships is incredibly harmful for an abundance of reasons:1. Strobe/flashing lights with no particular warning is dangerous for participants with epilepsy or other seizure/fainting disorders, and also discourages them from attending the event in person.2. The strobe lighting, absurdly loud music, and other forms of visual/auditory effects are incredibly overstimulating to neurodivergent individuals, forcing them into a position where they feel that they cannot participate in spectating the event in person without being physically and mentally overwhelmed.3. The noise levels are incredibly dangerous in terms of noise safety, which could potentially lead to hearing loss in participants.4. Strobe lighting in a dark room coupled with loud music has a high potential to trigger a migraine for participants who struggle with them.5. Overstimulation is exhausting to those with myalgic encephalomyelitis, which can lead to disastrous medical emergencies e.g. fainting, hospitalizations, etc. from overexertion.6. The overwhelming and harsh atmosphere of Einstein may causeparticipants who have ASD or adjacent disorders to abscond.7. Individuals with neurodivergent disorders/disabilities may be sensitive to the abrupt changes in the event atmosphere and are more susceptible to overstimulation. It is imperative that FIRST takes action immediately on these harmful practices, or at least provide a suitable alternative environment for the ENTIRE duration of the event, especially when FIRST prides itself of its accessibility and acceptance of all.

Save Pitbull's

Now a days people advertise Pitbull's as horrible animals, viscous and aggressive. People in the media will blow stories out of proportion and make them seem like killers. Mandate Regular Physical Checks on Children in Ohio Youth Detentions

On January 14th, 2023, my 17-year-old daughter Alana Lynn Richardson tragically passed away while under the care of Central Ohio Youth Center. According to the coroner's report, she died between 7 and 10 am but was not discovered until after 3 pm. This heartbreaking incident has exposed a significant gap in our youth detention system - the lack of regular physical checks on children. In Ohio alone, there are thousands of children like Alana who are placed in youth detention centers each year. These children are at risk due to inadequate supervision and monitoring protocols currently in place. The National Institute of Corrections states that regular physical checks can significantly reduce incidents and improve overall safety within these facilities. We believe that requiring guards to physically check on our children when they're under state care is not just necessary; it's a matter of basic human rights. It is time for us to demand change from our lawmakers and ensure that no other child suffers like Alana did.We call upon the State Legislature of Ohio to enact legislation mandating regular physical checks on all children within its youth detention centers. By doing so, we can protect our most vulnerable population and prevent further tragedies from occurring. Please sign this petition today and join us in demanding better for our children's safety while they're under state care.

Valero Energy Corp: Convert from deadly HF/MHF in Wilmington, CA oil refinery!

In the event of an MHF release, people are instructed to seek shelter indoors; in the event of an earthquake, people are instructed to vacate any and all buildings. Demand Closure of the Bluelight Bar at 3251 N Western Ave for Public Safety

I am a resident of Roscoe Village, Chicago, and I have witnessed firsthand the dangerous activities associated with patrons of the Bluelight Bar located at 3251 N Western Ave. A shooting occurred right at School and Western ave, with bullets piercing through a store window across the street. Two years ago, there was a murder at Claremont and School streets involving bar patrons. The bar has been linked to numerous incidents including murder, shootings, drug-related activities, fights, littering, public disturbances and noise pollution. The people frequenting this establishment are not from our community and their actions do not reflect the values we uphold in Roscoe Village. Our neighborhood deserves peace and safety. We need our alderman Scott Waugespac to take action against this establishment that is causing harm to our community. We also need permit parking implemented in the area and increased police presence during closing hours of the bar to ensure public safety.By signing this petition you are standing up for a safer Roscoe Village free from violence and disturbances caused by irresponsible establishments like Bluelight Bar. Please sign this petition today!

Change North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 47F to Empower Homeowners NOT HOAs

I am a homeowner in North Carolina, forced into a situation where my home improvement choices are dictated by an HOA rather than my personal preferences. The North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 47F, also known as the North Carolina Planned Community Act, has given more power to HOAs than homeowners like me. The act requires any development with more than 20 homes to be part of an HOA limiting housing choices for those who do not want to live in an HOA. HOAs may fine property owners, issue liens against the homeowner’s property and foreclose upon homeowners thanks to Chapter 47F of the North Carolina General Statutes. My HOA's Architectural Guidelines require a subpar wooden fence, which does not meet my quality standards and further require landscaping at my expense for the sole purpose of hiding this fence from view within three years. This is just one example of how this statute restricts homeowners' rights.A larger issue is the sunroom I'd like added to the back of my home. This will also require HOA approval, even though every town requires its own permits for such additions. I also pay the mortgage on my home and own the property, not my HOA or my neighbors. This is HOA overreach and I believe that North Carolinians are fed up with HOAs having all the power. The current law allows HOAs along with the assistance of Property Management Companies to create/enforce architectural requirements and/or covenants without considering the best interests of homeowners. Homeowners should have the right to make improvements based upon codes set forth by local code enforcement departments rather than these organizations. This issue isn't just personal; it affects many others across our state too. It's time we revoke this statute and restore homeowner rights in North Carolina. We need legislation that respects our rights as property owners, allowing us freedom for home improvements that increase our homes' resale value while ensuring we live happily in our own homes.Let's stand together for homeowner rights in North Carolina! Please sign this petition urging lawmakers to remove the restrictive NC General Statute Chapter 47F by making HOAs a choice and not a requirement for all developments, regardless of what year the community was created or how many homes are in the planned community. North Carolinians deserve to live in communities without HOAs.

Reverse the 3-Hour Parking Limit Decision on Ocean Road, Narragansett

As a resident of Narragansett and a candidate for the town council, I am deeply concerned about the recent decision by our current town council to impose a 3-hour parking limit along Ocean Road. This decision not only threatens to obstruct our cherished ocean view with unnecessary signage but also disrupts the tranquil atmosphere that makes Narragansett so special.Narragansett is known for its breathtaking views and peaceful ambiance, attracting both beachgoers and shoppers alike. The seawall along Ocean Road is one of our most treasured landmarks, offering an unobstructed view of the ocean that few places in Rhode Island can match. However, this recent decision risks tarnishing this beauty with an influx of parking limit signs. This change will deter visitors from spending more time in our town - shopping at local businesses or enjoying our beautiful beaches - which could have negative implications for local commerce. Please sign this petition if you agree that we should preserve the beauty and tranquility of Ocean Road by reversing the 3-hour parking limit decision.

Help Promote The Effective Use Of Our Government Resources In the U.S.

By signing this petition you can help change the use of our government's resources more efficiently. When our government has made enough money to help our people in a month it should be using those extra resources and funds helping them. Including when the government makes Budget cuts it will take up the money that goes to organizations to help the homeless and low-income families. If they keep taking each year and giving them less money they won’t have enough to help their people. It’s important to act now because their is so much that our U.S resources can help like building homes for homeless, or helping our young students get through college without getting stressed from their debt and having these low-income families cut back on other needs to help pay for debt. There are so many ways we can use our governments extra resources for the betterment of our future. We can also make sure we keep being resourceful including watching our government's spending and decisions to insure we aren't taking from organizations that need money and to make sure we aren't wasting our money into trying to fix issues that have no clear solutions. In the future I believe there is hope for our younger generations to take change and help make our government better for our people and no time is better to act than now.Resources:William G. Reconnect Healdsburg with its riverfront!

For over a century, large stretches of the scenic Russian River have been dominated by industry, leaving Healdsburg with a broken link between the community and the natural beauty of the Russian River. With over 60% of the town's riverfront occupied by a gravel processing facility, SYAR, on a site known as the Healdsburg Bendway, virtually no space is available for the needs of the people or environment. The Bendway Park proposal envisions a possible transformation of a 100-acre industrial site along the river. Focusing on the issues of public access, economic viability, and environmental restoration, this proposal confronts the mismanagement of the Healdsburg riverfront with a vision of a practical and sustainable alternative. The unique site conditions and input from local citizens have informed the reimaging of this site into a vibrant post-industrial riverfront that would fulfill the needs of people and environment for generations. The Healdsburg Bendway site has recently been sold to an investor group that is eying the space to be developed into a mix of Luxury Hotels and Housing. While this is arguably an improvement from the SYAR gravel mine and processing plant, the City of Healdsburg must take this opportunity to explore the creation of a linear riverfront park linking the two former SYAR properties and Veterans Memorial Park into one unified accessible open space. If you love the river and want to see the creation of an expanded riverfront access and habitat, support BENDWAY PARK!**FYI** Donations pay for targeted ads that share this petition and are NOT encouraged or expected. Protect the Award-Winning Deodar Cedar and Tree Canopy at Park Road Montessori

Our beloved Deodar Cedar at Park Road Montessori has been a beacon of growth, learning, and environmental education for countless students over the years. This majestic tree, along with several others in our treasured canopy, is under threat due to plans to rebuild the school as part of the CMS 2023 Bond package. The grounds at Park Road have not only provided a home for our students but have also shaped many minds and hearts through our educational program which places strong emphasis on environmental stewardship. The Deodar Cedar is more than just a tree; it's an award-winning symbol of our commitment to nature. It has won numerous accolades including the Spirit of The Tree Award and this year's Mayor's Tree of The Year Award. We understand that progress requires change. However, we believe that such change should not come at the expense of what makes us unique - our commitment to preserving nature within an urban setting. We urge CMS to reconsider their plans and find ways to modernize without sacrificing these natural treasures.By signing this petition, you are supporting not just preservation efforts but also valuing environmental education that shapes future generations in Charlotte, NC. Let us stand together in protecting these trees and ensuring they continue being part of our children’s learning journey for years to come.

Erect a Statue of Bhai Kanhaiya Singh Ji in the Fresno State Peace Garden

As a member of the vibrant and populous Sikh community in Fresno, I am deeply moved to propose this petition. We are proud to be part of a city that values peace and diversity. Our community is known for its commitment to these principles, as embodied by Bhai Kanhaiya Singh Ji, an iconic figure in Sikh history renowned for his selfless service and humanitarian efforts during times of conflict.Bhai Kanhaiya Singh Ji's story resonates with us all - he provided water without discrimination to friends and foes alike on the battlefield, embodying the true spirit of humanity. His life serves as a beacon for peace, compassion, and unity among all people regardless of their background or beliefs.Fresno State University has been instrumental in promoting these values through initiatives like the Peace Garden which features statues of world leaders who have significantly contributed towards global peace. However, there's no representation from the Sikh community yet - one that forms an integral part of Fresno's multicultural fabric.By erecting a statue of Bhai Kanhaiya Singh Ji in this garden, we would not only honor his legacy but also acknowledge the contributions made by Sikhs towards fostering harmony within our diverse society. This will also provide an opportunity for students and visitors to learn about Sikhism’s rich history and its core principles centered around universal humanism.Let us unite our voices to make this vision come true! Reject Changes to Fannin County STR Ordinance

PREFACE: We are NOT asking for or collecting donations! We are deeply concerned about the proposed changes to the Short Term Vacation Rental (STVR) ordinance. The potential impact on the community is significant - from small businesses to property values, and even our schools.Blue Ridge, the heart of the county, thrives on tourism. Local businesses depend on the influx of visitors who come for short-term stays in vacation rentals. Implementing these changes would limit occupancy for STRs and could drastically reduce visitor numbers. This would not only hurt local businesses but also jeopardize jobs that these rentals create. The ripple effect doesn't stop there. Property values are likely to decrease as a result of this ordinance change. Many homeowners rely on renting their properties short-term to maintain their homes' value and contribute towards their income. Moreover, educational subsidies for schools could be reduced due to decreased tourism revenue. Our children's education should not be compromised because of an ill-considered policy change. The STR Alliance goal is collaboration among residents, government, businesses, and Short Term Rentals for the collective well-being of all community members. We urge you to consider these potential consequences before implementing any changes that may negatively affect Fannin County's economy and community life. Please stand with us against this proposal - sign this petition today!Again, we are not requesting donations. CA Coastal Commission: Please STOP the Unfair Mooring Rate Increase in Newport Beach

As budget-conscious boaters, we are deeply concerned about the City of Newport Beach's plan to raise mooring rates by up to 500%. This drastic increase threatens to push entry-level boaters and boaters of low, moderate, and fixed incomes out of Newport Harbor, effectively turning this public space (public tidelands) into an exclusive playground for the wealthy. The proposed rate hike is not only excessive but also discriminates against mooring holders. For example, the annual permit fee for a waterfront homeowner to berth a 40ft boat on their dock is only $300 per year. In contrast, under the new rate structure, the permit fee for a 40ft mooring will skyrocket to almost $6,000 per year. This disparity unfairly burdens those who rely on moorings—the last affordable method of storing boats in Newport Harbor.Boating should be accessible and affordable for a variety of California citizens—not just those with waterfront homes and deep pockets. We urge city officials to reconsider this unjust proposal and work towards establishing fairer fees that reflect both economic realities and our community's love for boating. Please sign this petition if you believe in preserving equal access to our beloved harbor. Together we can stop this discriminatory rate increase from being adopted!

Advocate for Human and Animal welfare. (Mental +physical)

I am writing this petition from a deeply personal perspective. In my household, we care passionately about animal welfare and the safety of all individuals. We are a family that has members who are neurodivergent/disabled, apart of the LGBTQIA+ community, and with an immigrant mother who works tirelessly in the medical field. Despite our contributions to society, we have been subjected to unkind remarks due to our unique circ*mstances. Our experiences have led us to recognize several issues that need urgent attention. Firstly, animal welfare is often overlooked in Chicago despite numerous studies showing how animals contribute positively to human mental health (American Psychological Association). Secondly, there is insufficient support for neurodivergent individuals and immigrants who face daily challenges due to societal prejudice. Lastly, my mother's experience in the medical field has highlighted the lack of cooperation which hampers effective healthcare delivery. We believe it's time for change - for better treatment of animals; more understanding and support for neurodiverse families like ours; improved conditions for immigrants working hard to make a life here; and increased international cooperation in healthcare matters. This petition aims at urging local authorities in Chicago IL, USA as well as national bodies responsible for these issues to take immediate action towards these concerns. It's time we advocate not just what is right but also what brings about unity within diversity. Please sign this petition if you stand with us on these matters. Let's bring about change together! If you want to try and contribute by donating to other organizations, here are some options as well!Options for animal welfare:- ASPCA- Animal Welfare Institute- Best Friends Animal SocietyOptions for human welfare:- Human Rights Campaign- Save the Children- Amnesty InternationalOptions for neurodivergent allies/welfare:- The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism- Easterseals

Clemency for Antonio Floyd: Sentenced to An Undeserving Amount of Years at the age of 19

Could you take a moment to sign and share this petition...Antonio Floyd in 2002 at the age of 19 was sentenced to 51 years prison time for attempted murder. He has already served 19 of those years in the Kansas prison system. He has spent those 19 years turning his life around, not only for himself, but for his sisters, nieces and aunts.Antonio is 39 and will not be granted release until the age of 63.We, his family, believe he has served his time and should be given clemency by Governor Laura Kelly.A Letter From Antonio:In 2002 at the age of 19 I committed attempted murder against Louise Brockman. I make no excuses for my actions and accept complete responsibility. The mistakes I made as an immature teenager have made an Impact on my whole adult life. My juvenile criminal history enhanced my sentence by 37 years... Without the enhancement I would have been released as early as 2017.. Due to this enhancement I received more then double time then most murders in the state of Kansas. At the time of my arrest I was under the influence of P.C.P which I did voluntary. My substance abuse had been an issue since i was a child and it turned me into a person who was unable to make smart decisions, a person who did not value the opportunity of being free, unable to build positive friendships/relationships, and a lack of direction. For my actions on November 5th 2002 I've asked Ms. Brockman for forgiveness. I expressed regret for causing her pain and suffering. I reached out and asked for forgiveness while I was participating in a voluntary Victims Impact class, and I was told that I had been forgiven. I don't expect for this to be erased from anyone's thoughts, but 18 years later I'm asking for mercy. As a 37 year old man I have been incarcerated longer than I have been free. My dream is to rejoin society and teach to the youth of Kansas that the choices that you make today will absolutely shape your tomorrow. Who better to preach that subject than someone who's life has been molded by yesterday’s mistakes.

Complete the Clone Wars

The Clone Wars animated TV series is one of the most beloved Star Wars stories among fans, having gone on for six seasons in its original run, with many compelling storylines and characters, and is the last piece of Star Wars storytelling that was created by George Lucas. However, despite it having a seventh and final season released four years ago, it is still not yet complete. There are still forty episodes remaining that began production and were planned to be released as part of seasons six, seven, and eight, yet they were never finished or released. These episodes include:Four episodes focusing on bounty hunters, culminating in a duel between Cad Bane and Boba FettFour episodes involving Anakin and Obi-Wan stopping General Grievous from obtaining a giant kyber crystal, including a scene where the two of them talk about Ahsoka’s departure, released with unfinished animationEight episodes that had Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos teaming up to assassinate Count Dooku, with falling to the dark side and Ventress being redeemed, adapted in the novel Dark DiscipleFour episodes having the Bad Batch on Kashyyyk, and showing Yoda’s relationship with the wookieesFour episodes showing Darth Maul’s escape from imprisonment by Sidious, concluding with a battle having Sidious, Dooku, and Grievous fight against Mother Talzin and Maul, adapted in the Son of Dathomir comicFour episodes having Rex and R2 teaming up and encountering a reprogrammed super battle droidFour episodes with the Yuuzhan Vong, alien invaders from outside the galaxy, scouting the Republic outFour episodes involving a Sith shrine underneath the Jedi temple, with Ahsoka at one point stopping Sidious from entering the holocron vaultAnd four episodes with Padmé returning to Mon Cala, which had several senators becoming wary of how much power Palpatine had amassedWhile some of these were released in other forms, such as with unfinished animation or adapted into a novel or comic, many have never been seen by fans in any form, and none were seen as finished television episodes as they were intended to be. I believe that it is important for these episodes to be finished and released so that fans of the Clone Wars can finally see the show in its entirety as it was planned. There are several important reasons why:These episodes have already been worked on to various degrees, with some such as the crystal crisis arc being almost complete, only needing to be animatedThese episodes are the very last Star Wars content worked on that was created by George Lucas, yet fans have not gotten to see them in their intended formIf they were released, then many fans would watch them and enjoy them, since the Clone Wars has a huge fanbase, making it worth all of the cost and effort that would be needed to finish themIn conclusion, I believe that it is very important to the fans that these episodes be finally finished and released, so that all of us can finally see them and that the Clone Wars will finally be complete.
