How much corn planting is done in your area would guess about 10 percent done in my area we have 20 percent of ours planted

Starting next week. Got anhydrous done this week. Finishing up spraying and spreading sulfate, then rolling with the planter.

Most farms in our area haven’t started, I’d say less than 5% planted

Soybean in the few that still row crop. I suspect most of it here is to keep the ag easem*nt tax break until it eventually gets sold for development.

Quite a bit of alfalfa-grass seeding completed in the lighter soil areas near me. No corn in yet around me. Evan later in the red clay closer to Lake Michigan. Soil is really cold here. Way below the 52-54 degrees to germinate corn. Oats, etc. germinate at lower temps.

Farmer just sprayed my fields 10 days ago. Expecting him to plant in the next week or so. Just saw a field down the road being planted yesterday.

I don't know if corn is up this year or if it's just the natural rotation, but we were probably 70% beans and 30% corn around me last year. Looking like that will totally swap this year from what I'm hearing.
