Hi, am looking to go vegan/wfpb but I honestly do not like vegetables, nor meat especially. I know you have to eat a variety of fruit, veg, nuts to be healthy, I like fruit but only eat potatoes, pumpkin and cabbage and am looking for advice for an especially picky eater?would I need supplements etc until I can get used to the taste?

Hi Paula, I definitely recommend experimenting with many different recipes until you find dishes you like with lots of different fruits, veggies and legumes. Whole foods are always the best source to get all nutrients. You could also try making a smoothie packed with fruits and veggies, and even if you don't love it, gulp it down to at least get nutrients there. I would recommend speaking to a dietitian and consulting the site nutritionfacts.org for more info.

Found this page through Challenge22 via Ed Winters. Went vegetarian only 2 days ago but am heading strongly towards becoming vegan. My husband (68yo, I'm 60) is not so keen even though we don't eat a lot of meat, but he's supportive so I shall encourage him with some of the dessert recipes especially, as we don't eat dessert but he really likes sweet things. Thanks so much for linking these recipes, I'm looking forward to trying them out. Diane.

Don't be scared to try the food, you are already eating many vegan foods without even realizing it. Fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, beans, pasta with tomato sauce, many breads, salads, veggie soups, fruit smoothies, popcorn, hummus, pretzels, dark chocolate, guacamole are all things that are almost always vegan. I recommend signing up to http://www.vegan22.com/ which is a free source which will help you go vegan with personal support. Enjoy!
